I have had a couple of conversations in the last 2 months regarding legitimate biz acquisition loans from firms in the middle east. One guy said he has done a few of them but we were at a conference and I never hooked back up with him to get contact info. He was saying 5% down with longer amortization periods and lower rates than SBA. DOES ANYONE HAVE A CONTACT FOR THIS?

I understood you are asking about institutional investors who will fund transactions in the US. Unfortunately i cant think of anyone off the top of my head that would do that on a systemic basis. the regional banks barely provide acquisition financing for regional deals so i would be surprised if they were active outside. they will participate in syndicates but only alongside large banks that originate the deals and have the full package or as a sell down. I cant imagine they or even family offices would look at small deals (i.e. less than $###-###-#### mn

Following since I'm curious as well, but I'd also be quite surprised if you saw that from regional banks. Access to loans is one of the biggest issues in this part of the world. While most of the Gulf in particular is pegged to the USD, they've got a higher cost of capital than the US, so I'd also be a bit surprised about lower rates than the SBA. That said, would love to be wrong on this - easier credit here would be a game-changer.
