I know some owners showing up at trade fairs, but not always the full time. Therefore you need to be lucky (or simply ask, but this is tedious). And even worse, even if you find them, they may not be interested in selling at all. So i would agree with David Lauber and Max Oestreich, that this has no great time/result ratio. I use the newsletter of Deutsche Unternehmerbörse and biz4sale and KPMG. While KPMG is not creating many leads, the other 2 sources bring a constant flow.

Hello Cassian, from my experience and discussions with others on the same journey, Switzerland is more reliant on personal connections, not to say secretive, when looking to sell. One alternative approach is to build relationships with private bankers, who could potentially put you in touch with the owners. On the D & A of DACH, I have less visibility unfortunately.
