I have a very specific geography I am looking for businesses in, Lexington, Kentucky. I have networked with brokers and gotten some decent opportunities but not enough volume. I would like to start doing some proprietary outreach through direct mail and cold calling. I am curious what data sources you all use to find lists of all of the businesses of a certain industry in a set geographic area. Specifically I am looking for blue collar home services based businesses in Lexington, KY and surrounding cities.

Hi Joseph! Have you already reached out to NAICS about having them pull a list of all businesses with your desired NAICS codes within a certain mile-radius of Lex? This may be a decent place to start. There is a cost to it, of course, but should be pretty reasonable so long as your list is fairly targeted. https://www.naics.com/business-lists/

Libraries are great resources.
