Upfront, we're not searchers. Huge gratitude to Luke Tatone and the SearchFunder team for building this community. We've been avid readers since the early days.
Who We Are
We're Patron Companies, an Australian HoldCo, a serial acquirer of small businesses. We're up and running with two completed acquisitions and currently working on our third under exclusivity.
We focus on asset-light, high cash-flow businesses with annual operating profits between $1 million and $4 million. Our targets include service businesses, distributors, niche manufacturers, and other main street companies that benefit from our decentralized operating model and centralized capital allocation approach.
We're building a disciplined platform inspired by proven serial acquirers like Roko and Constellation Software, led by a combination of experience and execution: Adrian Warner (Harvard MBA, 30+ years in private equity and capital markets) brings deep M&A expertise, while I, Anya Haywood, bring hands-on operating and entrepreneurial experience to drive value creation across our portfolio. Our advisory board is headed up by Neil Malik, founder and managing partner of K1 Investment Management (a leading US private equity firm with over $10 billion in AUM) and Simon Pillar, founder of Pacific Equity Partners, one of Australia’s largest PE firms.
Current Fundraising
We're actively fundraising to support our continued acquisition pipeline as we scale our platform.
Why We're in the US
Adrian will be in the US over the next two weeks, starting this weekend. He'll be meeting with current investors in Los Angeles and attending the Hold Co Summit in Sundance, Utah.
If you're an investor interested in the serial acquisition space, particularly the opportunity in small Australian and New Zealand businesses, we'd love to connect. The timing is compelling - serial acquisition space is in its infancy, very attractive multiples and a favorable exchange rate for US dollars all make it an interesting entry point for US capital.
Let's Connect
Feel free to reach out if you'd like to learn more about our strategy, portfolio, or investment opportunity. Thank you, Anya
