Often, in a conversation with a searcher, I'll hear that they are seeking a $1-3m EBITDA service company in a targeted geography. Regularly, it's the region they live in today. Sometimes, it's the MSA they want to settle down in with their family. Rarely, is it because that particular geo fulfills a core pillar of their underlying thesis. In fact, I don't often hear many searchers share much detail on why they are pursuing a particular company-type in general, beyond something like the idea of achieving stable cash flows from a repeatable service business. I'm about to kick off my next thesis within (i) Intelligent Infrastructure, (ii) Tech-Enabled Services, and/or (iii) Health, Wellness & Lifestyle.
