Area ETA Groups - Coordination and Software

Our local Portland, OR area ETA group has just restarted, and had our 2nd meetup. A topic brought up is what system/software/service should we use to coordinate meetups and allow people to signup for the group and receive notifications. For all other ETA groups, what do you use?
