Are you close to Dallas/Fort Worth and looking into entrepreneurship through acquisition?

We're hosting the next Acquire Fort Worth meetup on April 15. Register here: https://luma.com/ttm67to1
Over the past few months, we’ve been building something local here called Acquire Fort Worth. Not as a one-off event, but as an actual ecosystem for people who want to buy and operate businesses.
The goal is simple: Bring together people who are serious about ETA, along with those just starting to explore it, and create a space to offer real guidance and support.
What we’re seeing:
- More first-time searchers entering the market than ever before
- Operators looking to grow through acquisition, not just organic expansion
- Capital providers paying closer attention to smaller, local deals
- A growing gap between what people think buying a business looks like and what it actually takes to close one
A lot of online content makes this path look easier than it is. The reality is different. Deals fall apart. Diligence gets messy. Financing isn’t always straightforward. And the learning curve is steep if you’re doing it alone.
When you have a room, and now a network, of people actively working on deals, who have closed deals, or who are directly involved in the process, everything accelerates.
If you’re in or around Fort Worth and thinking about buying a business, or already in the process, would love to connect.
Curious:
- Are you currently searching, operating, or still exploring ETA?
- What’s been the hardest part of the process so far?
