From the 2020 Stanford Search Fund Study, "the data from this year’s study continues to indicate that partnerships have a statistically higher likelihood of acquiring a company, and of achieving a greater than 5x outcome, although the statistics do not imply causation."

In early-stage we call the solo founder or solo searcher the Lone Wolf & I assume the practical thinking applies to some degree from search to early-stage. The stats in seed stage show that 2-3 founders is optimal & solo is better than having too many.
