I might be breaking etiquette, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to do a quick intro. Plus if anyone needs to comment for 30 more days, feel free to use this thread to get 30 more days here.

My name is Kevin Bell and I am a self funded searcher looking heavily in the accounting space for firms $500k EBITDA +. I own three businesses that we started from the ground up including one accounting, one global talent and one real estate related. I also own and operate remotely two self storage facilities. By Trade i'm a police officer and dad to three littles just trying to build a bigger and better life for them.

Excited to be here to contribute and most importantly, LEARN, from the massive amount of value that's provided here.

I'm pretty active on twitter if you want to connect and talk shop - https://x.com/kevinasrx

I have started to consider the accounting space myself Kevin, but I worry about the industry's cyclicality (tax is quite seasonal, (new) accounting services demand is driven by economic growth, and I'm not well versed in how cyclical other services are (e.g., fractional CFO). Having said that, I also suspect that customer retention can be quite high, which de-risks the pursuit, and using AI could help reduce Opex. What are your thoughts on this?

Spoiler alert for a shameless soft pitch... For the past six years I have been running a mastermind for tech founders and investors. Second Wednesday of each month we meet online to discuss fundraising, M&A and exit strategies. DM me if you have interest in connecting with more founders and funders in Saas, AI and Blockchain.
