Appliance Repair Business

Hi! I am researching an appliance repair business and am wondering if anyone had any experience or input on the industry. It seems that very often customers are upset when an appliance is not worth fixing as a new washer is ~500$ and a service call is $100. Looking for all inputs. Thanks!
