A contact of mine is looking to sell her family-owned business in the beauty sector (specifically devices for hair care, not consumables). The business was started by her father and has been in operation for more than 20 years.

Patented products selling in Target (US) and Sally Beauty (US) as well as Amazon and other channels. Most sales in the US but also sells in UK, EU and Japan also. Headquartered in the UK.

Outstanding branding - the business has the appearance of a company that is 10x larger than its current size, and could easily grow to at least this big. The owners have always bootstrapped the business and it doesn't have the reach that it should. Previously making more than $1m per year EBITDA. COVID had a negative impact (eg: Sally Beauty stores closed) so last year was a difficult year.

It feels like a very good opportunity for a search fund entrepreneur, especially one with an interest in the beauty space and an understanding of marketing / customer acquisition in this sector. Good management and a small amount of investment would grow the business enormously.

Happy to introduce searchers who have a genuine interest. Just let me know at [redacted] and I will put you in touch with the owners.

I can't disclose any more about the business or financials than these brief details.
