Anyone on H1B/non-immigrant visas that have launched a search fund?

I think that would be some issues of 1) you must have a business sponsor who has the ability to pay you, 2) must win a Visa lottery (done once a year April###-###-#### must receive a market or above market salary (not commission or equity) and 4) have a clear business case as to why a person who is not an American is needed and that you are not replacing an American in a job. Usually these Visa's go to computer scientists or similar who are in short supply in America so there is a clear need for a non-American. However, if you have an H1B1 Visa already, you can move it to another company, and I think this program can be constructed.

Makes sense. I was looking at it from the perspective of someone who has an H1B already so doesn't have to go through lottery. #3 could still be an issue I suppose.
