I am getting close to buying a hotel/restaurant business in France. This will include the real estate. I am likely to invest 50% of the purchase price, but will likely need some commercial financing. Anyone know people I could speak with?

it would depend on where the business is located.
Outside of main cities, your best chance is probably Credit Agricole, CIC, Banque Populaire, etc.
Main cities, contact BNP Paribas, Société Générale.
Depending on the size and complexity of the financing, you will either get dealt with by local branch or their "service Entreprise".
I suppose you know that but debt financing is quite cheap in France (compared to the UK at least).
For real estate, you can expect 100% financing of the value of the assets you're buying, and just have to pay for the transactions fees. 15y maturity on the loan, around 3% interest rate.
For the Opco company, 7y loan, interest rate quite cheap as well.
I am starting the process myself now.
Happy to chat if need be.
Good luck,
Tom
