Anyone have experience with industrials?

I'm looking for experts with experience in industrial space. Is now a good time to invest in a manufacturing company, given where we are in the economic cycle?

I would look at the specific business rather than the sector. For a leveraged buyout, I would look for something that can survive a few bad years. If the business has service revenue in addition to sales of new equipment it would have more stable cashflow. (I haven't bought a business yet so this is only my 2 cents.)
