Anyone have experience with Amazon e-commerce acquisitions?
We have a small add-on acquisition opportunity that fits inside our existing business very well. The revenue split ~80% through an Amazon (FBA Seller Central) and 20% B2B. What we are questioning is if the review history, Seller Central account, brand registry, ASINs, etc. are preserved post-sale. If this gets reset after transferring the account, the purchase is largely pointless for us. Amazon's policy says seller accounts aren't transferable, but I know plenty of these deals get done in practice. I'd love to hear from anyone who has bought (or diligenced) an Amazon-heavy business. Anyone out there with experience in this space?
