Considering a search in the US in some specific (but still large) regions. Anyone have a positive or negative investor experience in doing so? Any advice/guidance on how to develop and incorporate?

In my experience, you are unlikely to get traditional search fund investors to invest, so you'll probably have to do a self funded search. I found that there were plenty of local HNWIs that had a desire to invest in their local economy and very few opportunities so they were interested in investing in the deals I was pursuing.

thanks. i suspected this as a possibility. But i have also heard that searchers have been carving up areas (east coast, midwest, sunbelt, west coast, etc). Always good to hear different experiences.
