Anyone have experience hiring offshore talent for Search?

Curious about people's experience with hiring VA's for search or operating. Business Development/Sales/Modeling/List building etc. There are the big companies like Fiverr and Upwork, but what are the smaller agencies people have worked with that work?

Hi Javier - I have not hired VAs overseas for search related activities, but I have hired VAs in Philippines, India and Colombia through a 3rd party VA service such as Bruntwork. I can see why you could not hire them for searching.

There will be a training period that you will have to invest in the beginning but once that is done you will see results. It also depends on what activities you want the VA to do. If you want them to do outreach and setup the initial call with the business owner you will have to make sure their soft skills are good. This would potentially narrow down the pool of VAs that you would want to hire, but if you are hiring them for back office functions such as market research, pipeline building, etc. most of the VAs will be capable of doing that.

Kevin Hong had/has the greatest scale of offshore talent of any searcher I know, and he is turning it into a business/service.
