Anyone Have any Experience with C-Stores - Franchise or Independent?

I'm assuming these are less popular with searchers given the smaller volume / cash flow profile and need to own multiple stores to increase returns. Also they appear to have somewhat low (albeit consistent) margins. Anyone have any thoughts on the space? Also I'm wondering if there's any downside to having fuel sales as well, my understanding is that if you sell on consignment you can eliminate inventory risk so I'm thinking there's not a ton of downside with potential for higher cash flow.
