At a minimum, use an attorney who does a lot of transactions every year, not 1 or 2. Any attorney that works with private equity and venture capital investors will understand Search Funds. The deals are structured very similarly.

SF experience MUCH less important than regular M&A experience. Don't bother working with an atty who doesn't do M&A transactions for a living. You are wasting your time...and money.
