This site has been great talking about the buying process, but I'm really amazed I can't find anyone that has exited or is looking to shop their deal on the way out.
If you're exiting soon or have exited before, I'm curious about your experience!
Anyone exited or exiting?

1 - Did you engage in a process with an investment banker, or were you approached?
2 - Did you fund your acquisition initially with equity you raised? If so, was the equity partner happy with the return? Did you meet your financial objectives you set out at first? i.e. "If we buy at 3x EBITDA, we can sell at 10x EBITDA" - did that come true?
3 - Are there any meaningful / material changes you're making the second time you're buying that were based on what you learned the first time in?
I owned my own company that I started and sold it, but I have never bought a company before. Just curious what sort of lessons I should be applying coming from the venture world to the PE world.
Thanks!
