I tried and failed to raise a fund in###-###-#### My partner dropped out of the fund, and I was unable to pivot to a solo searcher. My experience left me with a bad taste in my mouth for the traditional search process. When I successfully closed on a self-funded search deal nearly a decade later my investors were not from the search fund community.
