The key for making any BI platform work is having good data in the first place. Having the best analytics software doesn't matter at all if there aren't well-kept financials, CRM data, fulfillment information, etc. Most small businesses don't even have that in place, so that's step zero / pre-work.

My stack is the Zoho One suite. Not the "standard" by any stretch, but it's a great value and is intrinsically tied together. We use Books, Inventory, Desk, People, Flow, and Creator as our core apps, starting to use CRM a bit more (we're e-com mostly, so CRM has not historically been important for us). From the BI standpoint, Zoho Analytics has access to the core database tables for all of the associated software (CRM, Books, etc.).

Zoho isn't perfect, but it's an unbelievable deal from a software cost standpoint. If you're the type who would rather spend a bit on custom coding / implementation up-front to save big on ongoing SaaS costs, Zoho might be a good option.

Good luck with your journey!
