What is Searchfunder.com?

Hi there,

Any part-time searcher that are doing this while still having a W2? I would love to connect and try to understand:
- how are you thinking about this?
- how do you balance a high paying W2 (golden handcuffs) vs the risk & upside of ETA?
- wow big the business needs to be willing to walk from your W2redacted2x SDE vs your W2 income & benefits (pre or after tax)?
- what resources are you using?
- how much time you are allocating per day/week to the search?

Thanks ^redacted‌. Happy to connect ^^redacted‌. It is hard to balance the two.

Work out your break-even point to sustain your current lifestyle (or a lower level you can afford to drop to). This will help work out the acquisition size that allows you to draw a wage. Also, work out how much time realistically you can allocate to searching each week. Your day job and life will come in the way - for me in a good week it is 2-3hrs weekday, and a full Saturday.
