Any other places to find industry experts besides LinkedIn?

Looking for more places to locate and start conversations with industry experts to gather a little bit more information on the industry we are consolidating in Sub-Saharan Africa. LinkedIn is great, but I would like to find other platforms/methods to find industry experts specifically in Sub-Saharan Africa. Thanks in advance.

Diego, I can't speak specifically to sub-Saharan Africa, but one option that has worked well for me is looking for folks active in the industry through conferences, trade magazine / business journals, and professional associations. Folks contributing there are often identifiable and have already shown an interest in sharing expertise. If something like that exists for the geography or the industry, it's worth taking a look.

Trade associations and their contributors are among the best sources my clients research. Look for employee/advising industry experts, operators, not merely accountants and other so-called experts.
