They are a great association, I would highly recommend joining based on my experience. The events I have attended were extremely informative and also provided valuable networking opportunities.

I'm a member of the Omaha chapter & it is a worthwhile investment. Lots of like-minded people in the group, but beware... The group is a fertile hunting ground for "helpers" such as bankers, accountants, lawyers, & recruiters/head-hunters looking to sell their services to ACG members.

Thanks, ^[redacted]- how did you decide on one chapter vs. another? I guess most funded searchers are geographically flexible so would be hard to choose one chapter. This may especially be true in the north east where you'd find many different local chapters.

I have been a member and on the BOD of the local chapter as well as served on the international Board over the course of the last 28 years. Great organization and recommend you become active to get the most of your membership

Yes, I would recommend to anyone looking to acquire a business. It varies by chapter but usually there are a lot of professionals that are members and always looking to help someone get started,

Yes Haim. I'm the cofounder. We developed it to level the playing field for all.before, in order to get good deal flow, you had to subscribe to expensive and long term contracts. We disrupted that system by offering much lower pricing and freedom to have no contract or success fees.

I would recommend ACG as well. If nothing else, you get to know the dealmakers in your geography. I have developed a few really strong relationships from my chapter.

Definitely a must join for searchers. ACG is usually filled with local intermediaries. Not a deal source but the connections to the business community are worthwhile.

Almost zero business owners. A few investors, but even they are pretty rare.

I haven't joined but I heard mixed reviews. It can be good if you work your way into certain circles.

It's a great resource if you're in the industry. The networking events are frequent and informative, and with regards to the connections I've made, I still connect with all of them regularly.

I echo the previous comments and have found the local conferences and events to be most effectively to help with establishing relationships in those markets.
