Has anyone looked at HVAC/plumbing companies in areas/regions within the US that have a requirement for a license to own the business? 

Any ways around it?

If you are looking to finance the acquisition, the biggest issue you will have is experience. You will definitely need a licensed partner or you will need to be sure someone who is licensed is staying on board. Lender's will also try to look for some sort of relatable experience that leads them to believe you can run that type of company. I hope this helps.
