Hi everyone, I’m new to the community and excited to be here. I’m at the early stage of my search to acquire a small business and am currently getting oriented to the platform. I’m open to different industries, with a primary interest in home services and construction related businesses. I’m also open to connecting with angel investors who may be interested in participating as a minority equity partner on the right opportunity. If anyone has advice on where to start, best use of this platform, resources to focus on, or lessons learned early in their search, I’d really appreciate it. Looking forward to learning from the group.

Hey ^redacted‌, welcome! Searchfunder is at the top of my list of resources, but here are few others that really got me up to speed: - ETA IQ for financial modeling - Acquiring Minds (it's a podcast, but they host monthly webinars which you can find by getting on their email list) - I'd also join Live Oak Bank's monthly webinar at least once where they talk through the loan process Good luck!

Hi John, Cleveland is a great area to be searching right now! If you have a chance, you should look into Promise Partners - they are based in Cleveland and are always connecting current business owners with searchers to help and mentor through the search process. I can't recommend it enough.
