Analyst Internship

Next Step Acquisition is seeking an analyst intern to join our team. We are a self-funded search seeking to acquire a law firm with an enterprise value around $5 million. I lead the team and we are also backed by investors who are serial owners and operators. Intern Workstreams • Deal Sourcing: Expand upon robust proprietary outreach that is already in place. Responsibilities include threshold analysis of potential targets, drafting offers to qualifying firms, and coordinating follow-up correspondence with owners. • Industry Analysis: Deepen our understanding of practice areas conducive to our thesis, including building relationships with operations and other professionals in the space. • Provide transaction support; maintain and update internal data; other responsibilities available commensurate with interest and performance. Other Key Details • Remote, unpaid and expected workload of 5-10 hours a week. • Start and end dates are flexible; the ideal candidate would start in May and end in July/August. This role is great for an undergrad or first-time searcher that wants hands-on sourcing and transaction experience.
