This month we'll be discussing Alternative Models for Launching Startups.

Raising venture capital funding is great. However, entrepreneurship can be incubated and funded in many ways.

Here are a few of the alternative models we plan to cover:

- Bootstrapping
- Revenue-based Financing
- SaaS Contract Marketplaces
- Search Funds
- Holding Companies

^Searchfunder member‌ from Talisman Capital Partners will be discussing holding companies. ^Searchfunder member‌ from Renaissance Men Properties and ZSB Investments will be discussing search funds. Andrew Rea will be discussing bootstrapping, rev-based financing, and SaaS contract marketplaces.

Our speakers will spend a few minutes presenting on each topic followed by a few minutes of Q&A/discussion. We'll end the session with a group discussion on the merits of each model, including what might make sense for your personal situation.
