Current AHA CPR recommendations no longer include rescue breathing for the layperson.
On the professional side it is only recommended if 2+ rescuers are present, and if that's the case we'll BVM (bag valve mask/AMBO) them until ALS arrives who will intubate..

The heart massage is prioritary but breathhing is strong recommended if it is well done. AIRESS do this. It's the right complement to a desfibrillator.
