We are mentoring and have just launched a fundraising round for a disruptive and much-needed project of an emergency ventilator ("resuscitator"). AIRESS is a portable, autonomous, easy to use, and economical medical device to replace mouth-to-mouth resuscitation techniques, absolutely advised against by COVID-19. Not to be a stick in the mud but what is the indication for this?
Current AHA CPR recommendations no longer include rescue breathing for the layperson.
On the professional side it is only recommended if 2+ rescuers are present, and if that's the case we'll BVM (bag valve mask/AMBO) them until ALS arrives who will intubate..

The heart massage is prioritary but breathhing is strong recommended if it is well done. AIRESS do this. It's the right complement to a desfibrillator.
