Hello fellow Searchfunders! My kids just went back to school today which means a return to some much needed structure for my work days (at least until they start picking up viruses at school again). I just closed on an acquisition a few weeks ago and I'm working on figure out the support structure I need -- both personally and professionally -- in order to take this business to the next level. Last year, I wrote a piece for Kellogg on building a support system as a working parent. Sharing it here in case it helps other parents in search looking to outsource a bit more at home to be more effective at work. Curious if any other parents out there have any hacks or tips for how to balance family and entrepreneurship! If so, please share below! https://www.kellogg.northwestern.edu/news/blog/2024/03/22/secrets-success-building-support-system.aspx?utm_source=LinkedIn&utm_term=organic%20social

Congrats and great article. I like how you're using the "who not how" principle and getting help for many household chores. The other thing I've found useful as a parent is to automate and systematize as much as you can. We essentially have SOPs just like you would in your business on what processes to follow for what situation (e.g. calm-down steps when a child has a meltdown etc.) It's useful for people who are helping out as well as for us as parents to reduce mental load.
