Nova Vida Capital is a Toronto-based search fund that is on the look-out for attractive investment & acquisition opportunities across Canada. We are focused on identifying, acquiring, operating & growing a small business into an outstanding company.

We are looking for a dynamic intern (unpaid) to assist with evaluation, due diligence & and preparing investment thesis for potential acquisition opportunities on a full-time or part-time basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and identify attractive industries
  • Identify stable & healthy businesses that meet acquisition criteria
  • Create leads through email campaigns, outbound calling and referrals
  • Maintain robust deal pipeline which should be updated on a regular basis
  • Review financials & confidential information of potential acquisitions
  • Participate in phone calls with intermediaries & business owners
  • Develop investment theses & financial models for potential acquisitions

Qualifications:

  • Applicant should either have completed his MBA or currently enrolled in an MBA program
  • Some experience in private equity, consulting, entrepreneurship or finance
  • Strong analytical, MS Excel & MS PowerPoint skills
  • Good understanding of corporate finance, accounting & financial modeling
  • Ability to work independently, think creatively & find solutions
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to give 20 hours per week for a minimum of 3 months
