Acquiring Liqour Store (NY) -@ License Question

Hi everyone! Looking to place a Liqour store in the portfolio here in NY but I'm completely stumped on how transition would take place when it comes to the Liqour license.

Deal would be asset purchase but I'm curious if anyone has done a deal like this and how the timing/process of Liqour license takes place.

Other states people have told me they can get a license in a few weeks. Here in NY is can take up to a year.

Any direction would be great!
