Acquired New England Foundry - Seeking Advisors and Growth Debt Connections
United States
My partner/GM and I recently acquired a steel and specialty alloy foundry. We saw an opportunity to preserve an established manufacturing business, protect approximately twenty jobs, and build on longstanding customer relationships. We took over from the absentee owner at a time when accounts payable had fallen behind, putting the business and those jobs at risk. Since stepping in, we have been implementing process improvements, establishing open communication between management and employees, and working to strengthen the company’s working capital position. The opportunity ahead is encouraging. Existing OEM customers are asking us to take on new work, the operation has room to grow, and the business is already on track for one of its best years on record (~ $3.6MM). Our focus is on translating that demand into consistent production, stronger cash flow, and sustainable growth. We welcome input and introductions from members with experience in: + Advising owner-operated manufacturing businesses, particularly foundries or machine shops. + Providing debt capital to improve working capital and support organic growth. + Financing or executing acquisitions of complementary foundries or machine shops in New England. We are hands-on operators committed to building this business for the long term. We would value conversations with advisors and prospective debt investors who understand manufacturing and can help us evaluate the right capital structure and next steps. If this fits your experience - or someone in your network - we’d appreciate connecting.
