Search: Part-time - w/ Partner - in Specific Geo

Has anyone successfully searched part-time, with a business partner; and in a limited geography?


Or is that a crazy thing to do?


It doesn't sound impossible to me (especially given how many companies are started by people in their free time), but I'm new to the ETA space.

It’s certainly possible, but your odds of success are much lower than a traditional self-funded search. A lot depends on how flexible your work arrangement is. Can you take calls and meet people during business hours? If not, it’s going to be pretty difficult. Don’t plan on getting much rest once you have a deal under LOI.

I am currently searching with a partner (also part-time) in a very limited geography while watching my two kids under 3 during the day. Very hard to schedule calls when my schedule is unpredictable, but it is more flexibility than a standard 9-5. Nothing closed yet, however, we are making serious progress, so it is possible.
