7(a) Working Capital Pilot Program

Thread for any leading insights and/or perspectives people have on the recently-announced 7(a) Working Capital Pilot (WCP) Program. I haven't seen a thread on this topic on my feed -- please comment with a link if one exists.

Curious about the timing of this program and any relevant 'knowns' at this time. This community would benefit from perspectives on how and if folks may incorporate this into their acquisition or post-acquisition financing strategies.

The CAPLine product is based on borrowing against A/R and inventory of the business. You have to have adequate A/R and inventory in place to support the CAPLine borrowings. We have gotten CAPLines done for clients. However, they cannot be done at the same time a business acquisition loan is done. That is one disadvantage with the program. It is something you would have to seek later after close when you have a need.
