On October 24, 2025, the Inaugural HKUST-IESE Entrepreneurship through Acquisition (ETA) Summit will be held at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), Clear Water Bay Campus. The event is organized by Search Panda™, a leading ETA and search fund community in Asia-Pacific, and co-hosted by the HKUST Business School MBA Program and IESE Business School.
Under the theme “Advancing the Future of Entrepreneurship through Acquisiton (ETA) & Exploring SME Development in Asia-Pacific,” the summit aims to promote the practice and development of the ETA models across the Asia-Pacific region. It will bring together globally renowned experts, investors, and entrepreneurs to discuss emerging trends and investment opportunities in entrepreneurship through acquisitions.
Distinguished speakers include Professor Stephen SHIH, Associate Dean of HKUST Business School; Professor Jan Simon, Academic Director of IESE International Search Fund Center; Akram Sabbagh, Co-Founder of WayFinder Capital, as well as investors and entrepreneurs from internationally renowned institutions. They will share valuable insights on topics such as global trends in ETA, practical case experiences (including overseas expansion of local enterprises, digital transformation, and AI-enabled transitions, localization strategies), and first-hand lessons from their own entrepreneurial and investment journeys.
Attendees will have the opportunity to network with global investors, ETA entrepreneurs, SME owners, and professional service providers, fostering meaningful connections and collaboration. We warmly welcome investors, entrepreneurs, business owners, and service providers from related fields to join this event.
